Fillings
The up-to-date dental research
allows us to utilise innovative and high-quality filling materials. With such
sophisticated materials an individual adjustment to your personal requirements
is possible today. The decision is up to you to apply a base supply or a tooth
coloured, cosmetically almost perfect and hardly visible filling.
Synthetic (composite
& compomere) fillings – Dental Bonding
It is made up of a composite quartz resin and usually contains some
sort of light sensitive agent. These light cured composites are extremely
cosmetic and most often bonded into place in one appointment. For this reason,
they are often referred to as "bonding". They can be used in both the
front of the mouth as well as in your back teeth. These materials come in a
variety of shades so that they will match the color of your own teeth. Some of
these composite materials have been specifically designed to actually withstand
the incredible forces you can exert when chewing on your back teeth. Our surgery utilises materials of
CLEARFILL - Kuraray (Japan),
KERR (USA), TETRIC EVO CERAM – Ivoclar Vivadent (Liechtenstein), Filtek – 3M/ESPE
(USA)
The
Optimum for fillings – Ceramics
The most long-living supply is still a ceramic inlay. If you attach
importance to a long lasting and high-quality filling, then a Duceram-Inlay is
recommended. The German firms Duceram and Vita as well as Finesse from the USA
and Ivoclar from Switzerland count to be the best
and are used in our surgery.
Gold fillings
Nowadays gold is still used for
fillings, because it has no side effects at all. Estheticaly, it is passé. In
some countries a gold inlay is still a status symbol.
Amalgam fillings
With amalgam a quick and simple supply is
possible. But it is hardly used in up-to-date dentistry, because of its
insufficient aesthetic and its scientifically proven side effects. Our
recommendation: Replace all of your amalgam fillings – we willingly make you an
offer without engagement. dr.popadic@pu.htnet.hr
It is important to
emphasize that we extract the amalgam fillings using Rubber dam so you don’t
swallow the particles of amalgam.

Stop
Amalgam!
The fewest know that amalgam
fillings contain a certain amount of toxic substances. Unfortunately this
problem still receives insufficient attention.
Some examples:
-Amalgam fillings have few, but even
so high-toxic constituents of mercury which are transferred into the
metabolism.
-It can cause brain and kidneys damages and it can
influence children’s metabolism.
-Amalgam fillings are often linked to neurological and
gastric problems..
-There could be found links between Amalgam and
Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, IBS,
cancer and different allergies.
-Transfer
of Amalgam is influenced through e.g. chewing gum, radiation of PC screens,
Gold crowns, teeth brushing and the like.
- Transferred mercury of amalgam fillings concentrates in the pituitary
gland, adrenal glands and lymph nodes.
- It has been proven
that mercury can concentrate in kidneys and liver of foetus. In the same way mercury
can be transferred to babies through breast milk.
